Write Media Ink is a 360° communications company founded by Principal Tina Novotny who works with a circle of experienced business associates to offer digital, video and design services as well as core writing, media and public relations expertise. Tina has worked for many years on both sides of the media fence, with experience as a writer, researcher, journalist, and producer in print, radio, television and web-based publishing and broadcasting, as well as holding several senior communications positions for major organizations in the cultural and health care sectors.
Past and current WMI clients include CARE Centre for Internationally Educated Nurses, The Ontario Hospital Association, The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, The Canada Media Fund, The Writers’ Union of Canada, TVO and numerous independent television and documentary production companies and Canadian publishing houses.
Tina has held positions and run her own agencies including WMI in Halifax, Toronto and Nassau, The Bahamas, specializing in writing and publishing, news, documentaries and series television and public and private television broadcasting. In her communications work she has produced major public events and launched print and online publications as well as television properties and schedules and conducted extensive media tours for authors and other creators.
Tina has also volunteered extensively with Out of the Cold, Parkdale Project Read, Kids Helping Kids, Sierra Club/Car Free Day, the Danforth East Community Association, Proud Paws, and other Bahamian dog rescue groups. She holds degrees from Dalhousie University, The University of King’s College and The University of Western Ontario, received a CWC/CTV Fellowship and has completed numerous post-secondary programs in media, business management and design.
